Prayer for November 14: Please pray with me. God of our homes, we lift up all those who have no place to call home. There are many who survive in amazing ways – humans are very resilient. We lift up those who do not have a sheltered place, who live in their vehicles, who live in motels, who crash on friends and relatives couches, who sleep at their workplace, who find a warm place they know nothing about, and more. You know these stories well. Jesus said “…but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.” You are a God of the homeless. You are a God of the transient. You are a God of the outcast and the outsider. You are a God of the poor. You are a God of those without. Open us to see you in these people. Open our hearts to embrace them as you embrace us. Eradicate homelessness in our midst. Amen.
